“Left 4 Dead comics are here!” published on L4D.com on September 14, 2010

In 2010, Valve released a digital comic for Left 4 Dead called The Sacrifice. It came out online in weekly chapters leading up to the DLC and gave fans a closer look at the survivors like Bill, Zoey, Louis, Francis, Coach, Rochelle, Nick, and Ellis, and some of the events the games didn’t show.

The comic wasn’t overly flashy but it added depth to the world with small details and moments that made the characters feel more real. Even now, fans remember it for bringing a bit of extra emotion and perspective to a game mostly known for fast-paced zombie action.
